On the morning of September 11, 2026, Hermon Middle School students and staff gathered for a brief assembly to honor and remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
During the presentation, students reflected on the history of that day and what it truly means to be an American. Together as a unified school community, everyone participated in a full recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. A school-wide moment of silence was also observed during the morning announcements.
The educational material provided to students as they entered the building today is included below. We commend our students for the immense maturity, dignity, and respect they demonstrated throughout this morning's remembrance.
