Hermon Middle School Community,
Happy Friday! We hope everyone is able to enjoy some of the beautiful weather this weekend. Next week is one of the busiest, and best, weeks of the year at HMS, with a 6th-grade field trip to Portland and our annual Spring into the Arts program taking place.
There are many exciting things happening in our classrooms as well, including 7th-grade students creating stop-motion videos on cells in science, students refining their responsible use of technology in computer science, and 6th graders applying geometry formulas in math.
As for behaviors, we saw a normal uptick in March, but I am happy with how students have turned the corner as we move into the warmer months, when they can get outside more often.
Finally, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to parents for your support in addressing the recent Needoh concerns. I’m happy to share that, as of today, we have had no new issues this week.

Parent Advisory Council Update:
· Next meeting: May 5th, 2026 (as a reminder, 8th-grade parents interested in fundraising will be invited to stay afterward to continue planning)

· HMS PAC is looking for donations on Teacher Appreciation Week for breakfast items for a breakfast buffet for the HMS staff.
