Hermon Middle School students are now enjoying a new program designed to foster relationships and provide a dedicated time for engaging, low-pressure activities. Dubbed "Hawk Time," the initiative focuses on fun and social interaction outside of regular academic instruction.
The new period is filled with a variety of engaging options, giving students a chance to connect with peers and staff through shared experiences. Activities include a wide array of options, such as collaborative board games, strategic card games, competitive cup stacking, and other group-friendly pursuits.
The core objective of Hawk Time is to build a stronger, more positive school community. By providing an enjoyable and relaxed setting, the school aims to help students build essential interpersonal skills and form valuable connections with their classmates and with the faculty members who supervise and participate in the activities. The atmosphere is deliberately informal, prioritizing fun and positive relationship-building across all grade levels.
