Van Driver

(20-25 hours/week)

The Hermon School Department is seeking a student-friendly person with a Maine driver’s license, a clean driving record, and five (5) years of driving experience, to transport students from home to school in a 10-passenger van.

A Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) from the Maine Department of Education is required.

Rate of pay ranges from $12-15 per hour based on experience.

Safety/Attendance Monitor - Hermon High School

Candidates must possess or be eligible for Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) certification.

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in monitoring student attendance.
  2. Supervises intervention study halls.
  3. Presence in halls, lunch, before/after students arrive and general areas.
  4. Classroom or study hall coverage for teachers as needed.
  5. Communicates effectively.
  6. Has the ability to work with students in a proactive and effective manner.
  7. Prior teaching or administrative experience preferred.
  8. Knowledge of Powerschool a plus.
  9. Will perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee.

Start date: December 2, 2019

Speech / Language Therapist – Hermon High School

Candidates must possess State of Maine Speech-Language Pathologist License and Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) certification.

The position will be 3 days /week.

Food Services Substitutes

The Hermon School Department is seeking Food Services Substitutes for the 2019-2020 school year who can work positively with staff, and students. Candidates should possess basic math skills, be able to lift up to 20 pounds, and stand on feet during the shift.

Candidates must hold current CHRC authorization through State of Maine Department of Education.

This is a substitute position and does not provide benefits.

The Hermon School Department is seeking substitute teachers for the 2019-2020 school year who have the ability to work positively with staff, and students. Candidates should possess strong oral and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, and be dedicated to meeting the academic and social needs of each child.

Candidates must hold current CHRC authorization through State of Maine Department of Education.
